About the program
Birmingham City University (BCU) is now accepting applications for its 2026 PhD Scholarships, offering 36 fully funded studentships in the new School of Architecture, Built Environment, Computing, and Engineering (ABCE). The initiative, part of BCU’s Strategy 2030, aims to attract global talent and foster innovation. Founded in 1843, BCU is a leading UK public university known for strengths in business, computing, the built environment, and the arts, with a strong focus on impactful, real-world research.
Eligibility criteria
- Candidates from the UK, EU, and other countries are eligible for these studentships.
- Candidates who hold a Master’s degree in a related discipline are welcome to apply.
- Outstanding applicants with a bachelor’s degree in the first or upper second class may also be taken into consideration.
- Applicants with suitable work experience for the research projects are preferred.
- IELTS 6.5 overall (no band lower than 6.0) or above is required for English language proficiency.
