About this Program
The American University Emerging Global Leader Scholarship 2025 rewards international students who display leadership potential, demonstrate financial need, and are committed to improving the lives of others. The scholarship covers the full cost of the educational program, including tuition, housing, books, and airfare. In addition, recipients will receive mentorship and support from American University faculty and staff, as well as access to specialized resources and opportunities. The Emerging Global Leader Scholarship is an excellent opportunity for international students who are looking to pursue their educational careers in the USA. The AU Emerging Leadership program in America is designed to provide ethical leadership training and practical experience to a new generation of leaders who will work toward making the world a better place.
Eligibility Criteria of the AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship 2025 in the USA
- Students who are enrolled in secondary or high school education and expect to graduate by June 2025 are eligible to apply.
- Students studying in the US and those who are US citizens are not eligible.
- An IB student should plan to graduate with a full diploma and should intend to take at least three HL subjects.
- British A-level students should complete 13 years of study with three A-levels.
- Dedicated to exhibiting leadership, volunteering, and community service in the home country.
- Preference will be given to students who encountered many challenges and come from diverse backgrounds that are underdeveloped.
- For English language requirements:
- The TOEFL IBT score must be 95 or higher with sub-scores of 24 or above in the paper-based and 20 or above in other categories.
- Students must also have a 6.0 IELTS score or higher.
- Students must achieve 33 in the SAT Reading.
- Students must achieve 29 on the ACT English test.
- A minimum score of 65 on the PTE is required.
- Scores of 120 or higher in Duolingo with all sub scores of at least 110.
- The Cambridge Assessment English score must be 185 or higher with all sub scores of 169 or higher.
