About the program

The University of Glasgow's EPSRC Doctoral Landscape Scholarships 2025 offer fully funded PhD opportunities for outstanding students from around the world to pursue advanced research in engineering, physical sciences, computing, mathematics, and related fields. Funded by the UK’s Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), the scholarship covers full international tuition fees and provides a generous annual stipend (approximately £19,237) for up to 3.5 years. 

Eligibility criteria

• Must be accepted into PhD programme at the University of Glasgow
• Meet University postgraduate entry requirements
• English language proficiency (e.g. IELTS/TOEFL)
• Alignment of your proposed research with EPSRC priority themes
• Pre‑contact a potential supervisor 

Required documents

• Academic transcripts and degree certificates (undergraduate/master’s)
• Research proposal tailored to EPSRC themes
• Supervisor confirmation letter or email
• Proof of English language proficiency
• Curriculum Vitae (CV) or résumé
• Personal statement/cover letter explaining research motivation and fit
• Any other documents specified by the University’s Graduate School
